So Valentine's Day is around the corner and determining what to give that special someone can be a little intimidating. For a different approach than the standard roses or box of chocolate consider giving your sweetheart a gift basket. Many stores will have Valentine gift baskets filled with an array of wonderful items in a wide range of prices. If you want the Valentine gift basket to be a real hit consider your sweetheart's interest, likes and personality. Then figure out what will really send them over the top and your gift basket will be a real hit on Valentines Day.

Great! It all sounds wonderful. But how to pick the perfect Valentine Gift basket? Is your sweetie a lover of chocolate or do other sweets send her off the deep end? Or maybe you love is diabetic or on a diet. If so make sure to take that into consideration. Maybe a combination of candy,scented soaps, lotions, a stuffed animal, romantic DVD and a piece of jewelry or intimate apparel would make interesting delightfully different gift for Valentines Day.

If making your basket yourself find a heart shaped container large enough to easily hold your items and fill it will appropriate tissue paper to cushion the bottom of the container. Place the items in the container so that all the pieces can be shown off. This can be done byputting the tallest items in the center and smaller ones around it. One could also determine which is the front or back and arranging the items from tallest to shortest. Your gifts can be rolled or folded to fit into the container. Once all items are in the basket or container to your satisfaction take some clear plastic wrap or shrink wrap and cover the basket. Put a ribbon on top. Give to sweetheart with one red rose.
